So I'm getting both my Splawn quickrods retubed next Friday, so I'm kinda "quickrodless" at the moment. But I have my Friedman to play with at the moment, I've been playing it for the last week. I really like this amp alot, very vintage ACDC sounding in the c45 mode/ be100. But no doubt it can get very hairy in the fat mode/ hbe100. But I miss my quickrod already and can't wait to play it again with new tubes. My plexi is getting the Ruby bstr and the snake skin =c= or mby the eh El34s. Either way,it's gonna sound good!

Made a video for you guys with the Friedman, it definitely has its strengths as an amplifier. I'm using my 96 PRS cu24 w/59/09 pickups, first split in the neck then full on bride pickup.

By the way it's loaded with the =c=

Let me know what you guys think!

Yeah, you've got it sounding really good!

I do have to admit, I just sold one of my Splawn quickrods, but I think I'll keep one for tone diversity. Since playing my Friedman for two months I can't seem to put it down, Ive become obsessed with it actually.
Hey Les you ever feel like after you've bonded with an amp so much, other people's amps seem very unteresting. Haha.. especially when they lack any signs of inspiration...

Heh. I'm in the process of building up a lifetime supply of NOS Siemens EL34s and NOS Mullard 12AX7s for my HXDA--guilty of obsession as charged!!

(I already have spare NOS for the DG30, so not giving up on that one, either!) ;)

That's a good idea, I was thinking the same thing for =c=. If I ever try the EH 6CA7 in my Friedman and like them, I might not need to burn my retirement money.

The Ace-fest continues - another Ace-related cover. "Strange Ways" this time.

Two masters of the same mix - the _rm version has the master volume lowered a bit. I think it sort of opened up the track a bit and made it a little more airy.

FWIW, this may be my last post in this thread - I don't want to get ahead of myself, but shortly after the _rm version was posted, I received an e-mail from a talent scout. TalentScoutGarret (tm), to be precise. I'm not sure what I'll be allowed to do under the impending recording deal, so this may be the end. I assume it's legit - there's no way it would be a scam, right?

Well, let's hope it isn't! \m/

I was thinking about what could be a appropriate post for coming along with my 500th contribution to this forum.

As a preparation for a NGD - a Mark Holcomb SE (with to apply aftermarked mods) has been already paid but not been shipped to my dealer, but I would like to get one of those with the new headstock design - I want to compare that guitar with those Alpha and Omega with a few of my other guitars, the 513 MT, my Hollowbody and at least with the Parker Fly Deluxe (same scale, same number of frets).
I will do that with that lick/pattern/riff. This is my No#1 sound for leads/high gain/metal tunes. To switch between clean/crunch and full throttle I only turned the volume poti from 2 to 10.
