So I have this 30th anniversary purple SE with floyd trem. I love the guitars tone, I love the feel, I love the neck. I HATE the trem. Is it possible to go with a standard PRS trem or even stop tail without making it look like a monster?

What is it about the trem you don't like?.The tone and the feel is there so the trem does something good it seems.

Maybe retrofit an Original Floyd Rose onto it. It would still be a royal pita to change strings, but the Original Floyd is a completely different animal than the licensed Floyd in terms of string breakage, feel, and mojo.

Brother, no way can you do this without having to paint the guitar and your talking about major surgery. Tremolo block is the answer or just sell the guitar, the build between one and other is very consistent.

You can install floyds but not the other way around.

Really depends on if you want a trem or not. If not, blocking works great. If you hate the SHAPE of the Floyd, you are kind of out of luck. The mounts and routing will get in the way of adding a fixed bridge or a PRS trem and there are not many options for replacing the trem bridge with the existing mounts. I'm not sure if an Ibanez Edge would fit the Floyd anchors, but the low-profile Edge is much more comfortable for me.

The really high $$ approach would be to pull the bridge and mounts and have a wood fill piece added to cover the route, at least on top, and then refin the guitar and install a fixed bridge...

I wouldn't. I'd just get another 30th anniversary SE (non-trem) and sell the Floyd. Or find someone to trade with. Floyds are desirable (I'm with you, though, I hate Floyds, and I won't even bring a trem to class because it takes up too much of my class just tuning any trem). Just make sure to take some porny shots of the guitar before putting it up. A good picture will sell a guitar better than a mediocre picture.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking. Now if I can just find a nice purple stop tail or standard trem.
