I have a one piece Burl top on my 2006 PRS. It says it could not find the top spec "B" so it may need to be added.
I was also told it was a 20th Anniversary when I got it. But I don't think it is because of the missing 'special' 20th Ann. Birds

This is my 2006 SCT Satin. N1H2--HFIBT_VO_N6-6x So, you can add the model number N1. The finish isn't Vintage Orange and it wasn't refinished. It's entirely natural. I've used the decoder on other guitars. It's a real useful tool. Thanks so much for all your work.

Plugged in my DC22 and it's missing the model info:

"MF" = DC22 (Musician's Friend?)

Also, I don't see 53/10s in the PDF, a couple of guys have confirmed "1" as the pickup code for these :)

p.s. love your work!

Hey Ruger,

Next time you update the MODCAT, here's a couple more pieces of data:

S4 = Sunburst SC245
XR = "Paul's Finish" Sunburst

However, note below, another guitar uses "XR" to denote "Double Sunburst". It might be a code for special run guitars, or maybe for matte/nitro sunburst? Hard to say with only 2 examples. From what I have been able to find out, my guitar with the codes above was a limited run of 80 guitars produced for the 2009 Experience.

This is for a 2009 Sunburst 22

XR - Double Sunburst

EDIT: forgot to add that the link on the decoder page that used to point to this thread no longer works, since the forum was updated. Let me know if you need any help with any of these changes. Happy to do it.

I will update the decoder database.

Really.

No, really.

There are a couple of other projects ahead of this..

Meanwhile, it would be cool if people woul try the decoder with some newer MODCAT codes and then list the results - especially for missing data points.

Be sure to include the missing code and what the decoder should spit out.

This works for my code in the bass position, but not the treble one. Unless the treble one is some other code.

CUM4QAFSEAT_BG_HK-KV - bass
NCK-CU4FEAST-GGIR-ES - treble

Not that this is the best resolution from a camera phone picture, but one of the coolest nuggets at Experience was seeing the Dead Sea Scroll Finish Listing on the wall in the back. EVERY PRS FINISH IN HISTORY. Check it out. And no, I can't read it either!
