Starla X P90

Anyone have one? I just won the bid for a lime green one on Ebay, and haven't been able to find much info on them anywhere. The few reviews that I saw seemed pretty positive. I really wanted a dual P90 guitar, and this seemed like a lot for the money (which includes a HSC). I read that the P90's were Duncan's, but not sure if that is the case or not. Any info or pictures or yours past or present would be great!

I've never heard of a Mira X Soapbar. There was a Starla X Soapbar, and a Mira 245 with P90s (but not normally available in lime green). If it is all-original you might have a rare bird.

PRS does indeed use Seymour Duncan P90s in Core models.

Well, it would have helped if I typed the right guitar, thanks! Yes, it is a Starla X. (I do have a Mira, so that's my excuse!)

LOL. No worries. As a collector of Starlas I've been half-heartedly chasing one myself! Kind of kicking myself for not getting one on the cheap here a few years ago when they were blowing them out but IIRC most of the colours I would have wanted were already gone. They are super lightweight though, the "alternative tonewoods" they used on those 'X' runs seem to be very low-density and it will be nice and easy on your back!

The P90s will be the same ones as in my Mira 245, I suspect, and they sound very good. You can do better if you want to upgrade though, depending on what sort of style you do and what kind of tone you like. I personally would like to put some underwound Lollars in one day.

Congrats either way, looking forward to pics...

Congrats, those are a hell of a bargain! I think I'll seek one out if I ever get a P90 guitar.
