"Metalicize" an '87 Standard?

This '87 Standard is cosmetically eh but plays/sounds great with the T&Bs.
The battle scars aren't mine, so I don't have any attachment to them.
I was wondering about having the PTC do something with the finish.
It's pearl black now and I was wondering if they would make it a metal. If so, would you do it?

I'm partial to the pearl black...so probably not.

But I think you should love to look at your guitar. So if metal is what you want, then I'd encourage you to get it done.:top:
