So I scored on a beater McRosie the other day. If got flung across the floor in a domestic dispute.
Today I whacked a hole in it to install a 2Tek bridge.
The problem is, I don't know what kind of paint job to put on it now!
Black...with hot rod style pin-striping.
Silver bass boat sparkle with an appletini green, wrap-around, burst.
I would go for this (borrowed from TGS's website):
The McRosie seems to have a nice flame that needs to be stained black (and the re-sanded) in order to bring it to life.
The wrap around burst should cover the filled dings...
Gold leaf top!
Leave it banged up and paint it butterscotch.
when my goldie mcrosie will be messed up this will be the next finish.
That gold leaf is amazing.
Just out of curiosity, would you happen to know when the former owner of this guitar is up for parole? I'd like to appear at the hearing to speak on their behalf.
What is a McRosie?
Rosewood necked McCarty...
McBrazzy = BRW necked McCarty...
McSoapy = McCarty Soapbar...
I've seen a number of PRS with the Shelby type racing stripes. I'm wondering about maybe doing something to mimic my '69 Road Runner.
GOLD LEAF - (am I shouting).
OUF ! not only this one could be an inspiration for zilmo,
BUT what a 'gold top' !!! Fantastic
