Hi,

My switch is pretty much frozen! It's really hard to change positions. PRS shop wants $42 for a new switch! really! ouch....

Possible there is some buffing compound or something, can I try some machine oil?

Sure, it's easy to pull it from the control cavity and inspect and clean it. The wires should be long enough to get it where you can inspect it. Just use a cloth to protect the finish when you remove the knob.

The contacts on those are long metal tangs. After use, they sometimes get bent a little too far out and the bottom of the toggle can get stuck or they may not make the connection. You can bend the tangs back in with your fingers with the toggle in the middle position. If all else fails, the PRS switch is just a CRL right-angle toggle, which you can get for way cheaper than $42.
