That stinks. I borrowed my old sky blue colored PS artist 3 semi hollow with F hole (McCarty thickness) and the tone is exceptional. I guess the only difference in that one and a McCarty semi hollow with F hole would be headstock angle, or is the scale length different too?
This is the guitar.
The standard scale length on the McCarty is 25 inches, same as the Artists, Customs, etc. There have been some editions with different scale lengths, like the "Ted" series and of course anything with a "245" designation.

Thanks King! What about headstock angle? I am wondering what the differences are between Artist 3 semi hollows and McCartys besides pups and being semi hollow. The Artist 3s (as I am sure you know) are CU 22s, but the semi hollows are McCarty thickness.
I had one of those for a while. Ended up not being too crazy about it. The pickups were really dark, and without the option to split coils or have separate volume controls I felt it was too limited, electronically. Otherwise, like all the Collection guitars, a lovely guitar.

I don't know how the headstock angle evolved over the years. Pretty sure the default McCarty headstock angle is a little greater, which is all part of the original concept [vintage G-style tuners, stop tailpiece, covered and more vintage-voiced pickups], but how that applies to variants over time is something I haven't seen published or discussed anywhere. I wouldn't be surprised if McCartys with vibrato bridges are built with a slightly shallower headstock angle, but I don't know whether that's actually the case.
