Mine can't be the only one with this configuration but you never see them. Anybody else here got one?

Awesome score! Yeah, I don't remember seeing soapie McTrems. I'm sure there's some, but I'd guess even less than regular McTrem w/buckers.

They did a small run of them 10, or so, years ago...

LOL. Wouldn't it be cool if that were true. Maybe they figured it wasn't a good combination. Fair to say my fixed bridge PRS have more bottom end than my trem models. Maybe that's better suited to P90s. Who knows?

Not an all mahog standard, but this one belongs to a friend of mine:

That probably is true and fairly accurate. They didn't do a ton of McTrems in the first place, so the standard all hog/P90 with trem is a rare breed for sure. You have a rare guitar here!

Thanks for the replies guys. Much appreciated.

You might be interested to learn that I bought this guitar 'new' just two years ago. It was one of two (the other fixed bridge, maple top) that were just old, old stock. Not sure if they'd been sat in the warehouse all those years but it was completely mint; still with its tags attached etc.

I stupidly sold it but the chance to buy it back again came up and I took it.
