McCarty 594 Difference

Being relatively new to PRS, I'm trying to figure out what the difference(s) are to the McCarty 594 and any and all other McCarty models. The 2022 McCarty I just brought home doesn't have the 594 designation. I know that some McCarty's have a stop tailpiece, which mine does, and some have Les Paul type controls, which mine doesn't. Other than that, I need some help.

Sounds like you have a regular McCarty. The biggest difference is the 25 inch scale length on yours vs the 24.594 inch scale length on the 594. Other differences are two piece bridge and 4 control knob layout on the 594.

594 will give you more tonal options. They both use similar Pickups. I’m actually comparing my thinline to the regular McCarty. They both have the same pickups installed. I would say the thin line has slightly more midrange honk, But honestly they sound pretty close. The neck difference and scale length are biggest difference to me. I would think the difference between the DC 594 and regular McCarty would be very difficult to hear if blinded. But the ability to run full humbucker in the bridge and split the neck is appealing to many.
