Mans best friend....the thread...l'll start...

At around 3:30 this afternoon, Miss Isabelle crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. She went quietly in our arms and will be dearly missed.

I feel your pain.
2 weeks ago our f5 savannah Zero took his final walk to Cat Heaven after suffering a seizure about 4 months prior which he never recovered from.
His buddies still look for him…
Sorry to hear this. It's always a tough time. Condolences and bro' hugs to you both.

On a happier note.
Myself and Big Dog listening to music and eating ice cream.
Who knew?
Doggie ice cream is a thing!
Cheese and bacon flavour.
Her weekly treat now.
Don't remember what I had but it was not cheese and bacon...lol

So Bailey had surgery to remove a tumor from her right hind leg - went well. In order to avoid making her wear the cone of shame, we've tried a few things, but have settled on this - Bassador Jammies!!

All the best wishes for a full recovery for Bailey!
Great name, our F7 Savannah is called Bailey.

I’m glad to hear Bailey’s doing well! My dog Zoey (retriever mix) had to have a fatty lipoma removed last year. My little dachshund Eddy had a mass removed at the beginning of this year that turned out to be an infected abscess. They’re laying on their pillows while I practice on the couch in the top pic.

Oh yeah, doggy ice cream is a thing. We used to buy it all the time going back 20 years, at least. For the last few years the Mrs has been making it for our dogs. Plain Greek yogurt, bananas and peanut butter (Sun flower p.b. actually) blended up and poured into ice cube trays.

Its been too hard to even think about this event but Sheba crossed the Rainbow Bridge almost exactly 2 weeks ago, about 3am in my arms.
Life is just not the same, none of the cats want to go out for a walk on a lead...lol.
She was something special and will be missed for quite some time yet.
Sorry to put a downer on this thread.....

So sorry to hear about the loss ;~(( Not a downer on the thread, just a reality and I wish you and her's the best! Cherish the memories, I know it is cliche but it truly is all that is available for now!!

Reality sucks big time my friend!
I'm very sure they got pet and human life spans all forked up tbh.

And if we are talking reality, getting one 95lb literal "dead weight" out the house and digging a big enough hole to bury her truly sucks!

But she has her own spot next to Zero complete with headstone now in the Chateau Headroom Memorial Gardens.:(

I'm so sorry for your loss, losing them truly sucks.

I also relate to the "dead weight" thing - we lost our 110 pound Rosie in 2019, while she was staying with a friend - and she crawled under their dining room table to pass overnight. Getting her out of there was tough! I started to dig, but given her size and our rocky yard, we opted for cremation.

Yes, reality does suck at times! I feel you!! When our pet pig died in 2017, it was not fun a) watching him die of a heart attack and b) dragging his 120lb body out into the yard ;~(( To my benefit, I have several neighbors with back hoes, so I did not have to dig the hole. Also to my benefit, I had built a ramp off the back of the house when we first took him in as a baby, so that helped in the removal.

I hope you can find some relief from the pain/misery over the next weeks and months! Sounds like she has a wonderful resting place with a friend!! My condolences again!!!

So sorry for your loss. It hits me where it hurts every time I hear of a pet passing on. Especially with my loss still so fresh. You will find peace in this. It may take time, but you will find peace.
