I have a duplicate thread over on TGP, but I’m not getting any feedback, so maybe you guys can help me.

Has anyone actually used one of these in their Strat or similar guitar?

I’m a big fan of PRS trems, but those are 6 screw, not 2 post. I love the PRS equivalents of MM bridges in my 2011 Core CU22 and 1997 CE24.

I’m sure that this bridge will have smoother feel and different tone than my stock American Standard bridge, but will it increase tuning stability? I do realize how to set up my Strat properly, and to check the nut, saddles, etc. I’m just looking for an upgrade, as my PRS trems are vastly superior. I’m also quite happy with my Gotoh 510s in my Suhr and Charvel, but I’m really interested to know about the MM for this application, and I can’t seem to find any reviews.

Thank you...

I had one in an American Standard Strat a while ago. I found it increased sustain and had a fuller sound. Definitely smoother than stock. Definitely top notch Mann quality. I didn’t find any difference in tuning stability, but that guitar was always good at staying in tune anyway. I’ve been thinking about one for my American Ultra Strat - maybe even the brass block one to see what that’s all about.

I haven’t tried Gotoh or any other brands so I don’t know how it compares there. At the end of the day I do still prefer my silver sky bridge but that’s definitely more on the vintage side with bent saddles and 6 screws.
