Magnet swap in 58/15's?

....I''m wondering if that's the way to tame what I hear as too much high end....Alnico 5 in,ceramic out? Anyone done this,and what did you get after swapping?

There's no ceramics in 58/15. They are Alnico 2. Give it a go. I have a set of Throbak A5's I considered to swap out with my 8515, but never got around to do it. I actually like the pickups a lot

simple question
Have you tried changing the angle of the pickup?
As in lowering the treble side and/or raising the bass side

....yeah....i've set p/up height to equal volume between neck and bridge and then adjusted bridge high side down..I don't know there's just something "wrong" or "missing" compared to my other guitars......

You did try to turn the toneknob down a bit ?

I keep my set up with pretty flat EQ only boost's are EQ'd "weird".....
