Welp, that time of year where I take all my certified weights to Madison Wisconsin to tested.

It's a lot of work to prepare for this. My weights have to be clean and painted plus I have two service vehicles so weights from both vehicles must go at the same time.

That means all parts and tools have to come off big truck to stay legal from a weight standpoint.

I'll be taking my dad again so we will check out guitar shops and eat like kings!!!

Unfortunately I think all 3 Dave’s locations are appointment only. Not sure who’s really open open.

Do you get same day turn around on your weight certifications?

Usually yes. They had my pickup date set for the next day but they had all of my weights done in five hours so not sure why it was for next day

I have twenty one 1000lb
Two 500 lb
Thirty six 50 lb

Plus four weight kits

So... you took your motorcycle?
Ha ha no.

I’ve rented from HD Madison in the past but they don’t do it anymore.

I could maybe trailer my ultra but not sure I would be legal with a trailer on back. I’m really close to being over weight on my axles.

I really didn’t have time to think about taking bike.

It’s a nice trip but it’s a total pain. Most of one day unloading all tools and parts off of truck. A couple days cleaning and painting weights. Then a good day putting parts tools and weights that stay in the truck back.

I also use that as an opportunity to make changes to my truck.

I welded up a hanger for my porta power to keep it off the floor and brackets to wrap my torch hoses from the ground.
