I know there is a recent thread about strap locks, but would like opinions on the LOXX brand specifically.
I like the slimmer profile they present on the guitar vs the Schaller's and the Dunlops that stand a bit "Proud" from the guitar body for my tastes.
The fact that the LOXX strap locks don't allow you to use a "Non-LOXX" outfitted strap with them doesn't bother me. I Have heard that Dunlops and Schallers still have the flared post that allows you to use a regular strap in a pinch...but this really isn't a deal breaker for me.
My biggest concern is having to use screws that are larger than the stock PRS screws. I would want to be able to revert back to the stock hardware should I choose to down the road.
Anyone have good (or bad) advice on using LOXX strap locks on a 2011 MC58?
(When searching this forum for this topic there is one person that used the LOXX on an MC58 and he indicated that the screws were slightly larger than the stock PRS screws and he had a minor chip in the V12 finish as a result of installation...yet he still uses LOXX on all his guitars)
I'm looking for some fresh opinions from anyone using this product.
Thanks in advance for any advice!
Steve
