Love my new S2 McCarty 594!

Hey all, long time lurker first time poster... As soon as these were announced at NAMM earlier this year I was GASing for one. Luckily one in the color I wanted popped up , I pulled the trigger without hesitating and do not regret it one bit

As others have said, its not fair to compare the guitar as a 'core light' , its definitely its own thing. I've played plenty of Core 594s , loving them but never could reconcile with the price...the minute I took this one out of the gig bag the memories of those guitars came back...

Now it really seems PRS is taking S2 upmarket with this guitar, and its the perfect spot in the market for what I need - a higher end set neck short scale dual HB type with impeccable tuning stability that I won't feel bad slinging over the shoulder in a gig bag taking the subway to practice or to gigs.. Kudos to PRS!

Thanks guys! Honestly I haven't had a chance to weigh it but it def weighs below 8 lbs ... getting it setup by my favorite tech just to get it right and off to practice !
