Headstocks have never bothered me except when they are too big or too small. The Tele headstock to me looks like a limo di*k.
My Knaggs headstock is about 2” too long which is also a pain to fit into a gig bag.
In my opinion, if you are looking at something innovative, look at it in a different perspective. I couldn't take it at first, then it made sense to me. If it had the same inline headstock, then it would be another stray copy.
No sarcasm intended, but I have never understood people’s problems with headstock shapes. I’ve been he@ring people piss and moan about Heritage headstocks since they started making them. I mean, ther’s headstock shapes I dont care for, but nothing that would keep me from buying the guitar if I really liked it.
I think John did an awesome job deciding to do it reversed. IMO the Fiore looks goofy. I totally agree with John. The two pointy angles of a regular PRS headstock and the shape of the guitar would make it look odd. I love it. It looks awesome IMO while holding it too. I don't know why people can get over that. Moreover, the people that hate it. Do you think they should have done the normal shape and extended for 6 all on the top like they did with the Dan Spitz model? Now that looks dumb. If you don't like it, buy a Fender while these are better in a lot of ways.
I Wish The "Reverse" Headstock Was An Option On All The PRS Guitars. I Would Get It Without Hesitation.
I Am Sure The OP Could Buy The Guitar And Get Creative With A Saw And Sander And Come Up With A Design That Is More Appealing. Transform it Into A Snake Head...Santana...Original PRS Shape But Smaller...You Could Do Most Anything. It Would Be A True One Of A Kind And Worth A Fortune. Do It!
It’s not a “reverse” headstock. It’s a totally different design. Although I do think a reversed Silver Sky headstock would look fantastic on the Vela and NF53.
