Loud noise coming from Lead channel of Archon 50

When I switch on the lead channel, get the noise in the clip. I this a tube problem? The Clean Channel works fine.

Very strange I would contact PRS for some help.Dont know if that's a tube.

That's not right.

Always start diagnosing a tube amp with the tubes. If nothing else, get a set of cheap new Groove Tube replacements or something. 'Known good' being the key.

That sounds exactly like a bad preamp tube. It's "motorboating" and making noise, which is what bad preamp tubes do.

The reason it's doing more loudly than you may be used to is because it's a high gain amp. Simple fix: find bad tube, replace bad tube.
