Loose tuning pegs on vintage non locking tuners

Picked up a really nice used 2020 SC 594 and noticed when I took off the strings a couple of the tuning pegs (G string and D string) wobble in the tuner housing. More so the G string but the D string tuning peg has some play in it also.

They turn fine and are stable when strung up under tension. Seem to stay in tune as well as the other strings.

1) Is there any way to tighten these tuning pegs?
2) Does it matter as long as they work fine?

I found a nice deal on a set of PRS vintage locking tuners so will put those on.
