Looking for info on Chicago - CR is moving to Chi-Town!

My daughter has been accepted to a school that specializes in her needs. Unfortunately this means I need to move. This move should only be for a year or two. Just to get her caught up so she can "mainstream" into a private school here in Nashville. So..... I need a job & a place to live. I've gotten some info from a few folks about areas to stay away from and getting some leads on jobs, but nothing is nailed down yet. So if you know about any IT jobs in the area let me know. If you know of any great places to live that are fairly close to Wheeling (Kate's school), let me know. Any bands looking for a gtr/bass player too!

Chris, I know nothing about Wheeling, but I know Northbrook and Deerfield pretty well, and they are beautiful communities right nearby.

You can't go wrong in either place. Don't have a heart attack over real estate costs in the Chicago area, though...it's very pricy compared to Nashvegas!

Yeah, anything east of 294 is gonna put you in "Gold Coast" territory, which will be super pricey but there's Arlington Heights or Buffalo Grove nearby. Chicago is easily one of the greatest places on the planet... in the summertime that is.

Traffic sucks in ATL so make sure you work from home. Also, it's way too hot there.
