Looking for any and all info on new 2 channel custom

I know the details and options available but what I am really looking for is opinions or videos so I can get a good idea of what it sounds like. I don't have a dealer close enough that I can go try one out even they one in stock. Closest place is Washington music and that place is not very good for trying out an amp and get a good idea of the tone because I can only get down there on a weekend and all the noise going on in there just doesn't help. Any assistance or help would be great because I'm about ready to pull the trigger.

Hi Matt: I just went through a simiilar experience in Januay. I went through about 20 videos on YouTube about a Marshall MG100HFX. I thought it would be a good amp for me to play with, so I bought one online as they had the best price. What a mistake. I like the amp and the features. They're great but it has that distinctive Marshall British sound that I never heard on the videos. I'm not fond of the traditional Marshall audio.

So I went to a couple of my local guitar stores and tried out Fenders, Marshalls, Egnaters ( I already have a Rebel 20), and the new Mesa Express Plus 5:25 plus some others.

I fell in love with the Mesa Express Plus 5:25 and bought it. It performs beautifully and has the sound I was seeking. So now I've got the Marshall out on Craig's List for sale locally here.

My advise.... take your guitar (not theirs) and go to the store and plug in and play, so you know what you're getting for the money. That's what I did and it's worth the effort, so you don't make a mistake.

I stopped by the amp shop on Wednesday. The 2-Channel Custom makes the 2-Channel "H" sound like a vintage amp. Guitarists that like a tight feeling amp with a punchy sound are going to love the 2-Channel Custom. It's a PRS amp that should satisfy drop-tuners and seven-string guitarists.

Brandon and Doug performed a few mods on my amp while I was at PRS. My 2-Channel "H" is a "Rev B" amp. I was mainly interested in the noise reduction mods that have been developed over the last year and a half. However, I did have a major tonal tweak performed on the amp. Doug and his team have worked out a mod to the global negative feedback loop that should be applied to all older 2-Channels. I am not going to go into technical details about the mod, but it truly does sound like a blanket has been removed from the amp.

I do not believe that my amp is the first 2-Channel to sport the mod. To be completely honest, I have been off doing other things for the last couple of months.
