Kind of a traumatic nite, tonite. Got me thinkin' about better times.
In 1991, I was 20 years old, third year at the University of Western Ontario, and just goin' crazy with p!ss and vinegar.
I had a buddy that I knew from grade school, who was a real "go getter", but with honesty and integrity.
Anyway, back then there was a niche "market" for solo acoustic guitar. So, he put together a summer tour for me, just southern Ontario and northern New York.
I was "billed" as a Merle Travis "guy." Which was fair. I played all the expected songs like "Saturday Nite Shuffle", "Walkin' the Strings", which was a ton 'o fun, but my favourite was "Guitar Rag."
Also played a bunch of other stuff which is unknown now.
Anyway, at that time, I guess I was kinda decent looking and got all the pu$$y that I could handle. For about 15 years. Now, I'm payin' the price, absolute famine.
Oh well, it is what it is.
