Has anyone tired this? Thinking of getting a DC3 and would love to put lollars in it

I'm pretty sure you will need to cut a new pick guard to install ant standard size pup. That has been what stopped me from buying one.

I have a DC3 with Klein Dallas Blues pickups and it sounds Amazing, you do need to have a new pick guard made. Mine was done by PTC, but a good tech could make you a custom one. Regarding Lollars, I have a NASH S-63 with Lollars and it sounds great, more genuine strat tone than a F(&( Strat. They are what Jason Lollars calls a Dirty blonde, a Special in the Bridge and Blondes for the neck and middle. Do keep in mind that they are tweaked to Bill Nash specification, but it will get you there. Hope this is helpful.

You can send your guard (or a very good tracing) to someone like Pickguardian and they will make you a custom one. I haven't heard the Blonde, but I put a set of Blackface in a friend's Strat and they sounded fantastic. Really brought the vintage-sounding goods with a great punch.

Weill just got an email from PTC saying they can't make me a pickguard. I'm gonna try pickguardian thanks Garrett for suggestion

Got my Pickguard from quick guards.com and install lollars this weekend. Sounds amazing! Thanks Mike from quickguards.com. Now to see if someone wants to buy the dc3 pickups and pickguard.

Which Lollars did you put in there? My Blondes in my #1 strat are my favorite single coils by a mile!!! I'm a total Lollar fan.

Is there enough room under the guard to do a slanted bridge pup like a 305/Strat? Thats my only beef about the DC3, I think it would look so much better with slanted bridge pup.

i had to cut a small piece of body for bridge pickup. Would definitely have to be modded for a slanted bridge pup
