Locking tuners: wrap around according to PRS instructions?

In this video from PRS they recommend giving the strings some 'slack' and wrap around once. I always thought the point of locking tuners was to NOT wrap around. Nobody does wrap around as far as I know. Why does PRS recommend this? Better tone?

My buddy who uses Floyd Roses on every axe does tons of wraps. I do none. My guitars have pretty decent tuning stability, well except for the temperature changes.

I don't wrap at all. Just played my 513 for the first time in a week and it was still in tune save the E string

I give it a bit of slack, which results in somewhere between a half and one full turn. It seems to help the string bite into the side of the tuning peg hole, vs 100% relying on the thumbscrew as only source of friction.

I leave enough slack so the string is at about a 95° angle when in tune compared to where it enters the peg hole.
