I was curious what happened to these as well! I saw them on a small handful of guitars at one point (one was a PS Paul's guitar IIRC?) and it looked interesting for sure, but never saw anything come of it! Did the idea just die? Proven to be cool in theory but not great in practice? etc. Would love to hear the story on them as they certainly seem like a neat idea.
