I have 7 Les Pauls and they are all different, when I want a LP I play a straight up LP. I love LPs. Period. That all said...my PRS SC250 PS is my solid unchallenged #1.

PRS singlecuts have a different vibe from the Gibsters. PRS makes a significantly better guitar but it definitely isn't a LP in every essence IMO.

I played an LP for 25 years and it wouldn’t stay in tune. My Se245 standard and wood library stripped 58 with the rosewood neck both destroy it sonically, to my ears. LP= long passed.

The second version of the 245 with 5708 and two piece bridge sounds fantastic. 5708 and a SC is a perfect match. I only played a later version with 5815 non LT once, but it sounded good too.

I know the reputation and popular dis. But, I find Custom Shop LPs to be a different animal. I have enough to know it’s no fluke, and they stay in tune. And yep, they get played often.
