I have a 2022 McCarty 594 which seems to have larger than normal frets for a PRS, eg, compared to CU24.
In my experience CU24 et al have 47103 wire (Jescar I think), and DGT have something more like 57110 (or 6100)
Now this McCarty might be a bit of a one-off because it's a wood library with 59/09 pickups from WildCat guitars.
I'm measuring the frets as ~ 52 x 109. Typical PRS flat top frets btw.
By way of comparison I measure a CU24 at 48 x 104, and a DGT at 59 x 109
So what is 52x109? Does anyone know what the real size of these frets are, manufacturer, and why they aren't typical 47103? Do PRS use larger frets on 594s?
I quite like the size btw, I think it sits nicely between CU24 and DGT. In fact I like it so much, that's why I want to know what they actually are. PRS customer support gave me the gtr description, but it said nothing about the frets.
