It's my lovely wife's birthday. KT Tunstall and Shawn Colvin performed together at our local Performing Arts Center. Man, what a great, great show. They seem to really enjoy performing together, and do a great show. I was pretty impressed with KT Tunstall's use of a looper(s?) and thumping, taping, scratching and pounding out rhythms on the top of her acoustic, and then switching them on and off as necessary. She's really a "One Man Band" as Shawn Colvin called her. They opened with a great, great cover of "Psycho Killer." Did their hits and B-sides, did a great cover of "Boys of Summer" (Glenn Frye?). I've always enjoyed KT when I'd heard her hits. I was familiar with Shawn Colvin, but not a particular fan. I knew I'd enjoy the show, all live music is good, as far as I'm concerned. I didn't expect it to be such a great show though. If they are in your area, go, it was a blast! Yes, I used the word "great" six times. It was that great of a show. Seven.
