KL33 and me :)

For the fellow wood lovers Limba (Terminalia superba) has a Janka hardness of 670 vs Mahogany at 800 so a bit softer.
there is NO difference between the white and black other than color..
 
While I've heard talk around the net about folks swapping out the Mira pickups , I doubt I will as I like to keep limited run stuff stock,
but am curious to see if anyone here found the Core Mira pickups lacking ...and why .

I swapped them. I did a lot of swaps on my KL33 finding perfection since I knew immediately the guitar itself is a keeper for life. I settled on the 5909 in the bridge and 5815LT-V in the neck. Amazing. Also swapped the cap, wanna say to a .033. Think it had a .022 stock if I remember right. It was a while back.

The Wolfetone Marshallhead in the bridge and DrV in the neck killed. One of my favorite LP combos. A set of 5708 was damn near perfect too. There was a time PRS was doing a pickup exchange or something like that. Theres some KL33 floating out there with 5708 stock(ish). I think one of the videos you posted has a KL33 with 5708. The one with covered pickups.
 
Never had a PRS with Miras (per say), but I know they're just uncovered 245's and I had a set of 245's in my Bernie and they were great, but I did swap them out for, ironically, an early set of 5708's. Nothing wrong IMO with Miras, just not for some people.

When I was in the process of buying my KL, I was conversing back and forth with GC, yep GC and the salesperson couldnt tell me what pickups it had. I thought maybe someone had swapped the pickups or did the PRS exchange, but the hang tag stated 5708s. I did not know any KL's that came stock with 5708s. Sergio urged me to grab it and so I did.
When I contacted PRS and shared a shot of the hang tag, Shawn stated "it was one of those instances where Paul made a flying change and we didn’t bother making a new MODCAT for the guitar, everyone just knew that the pickup specs had changed. You've got one of a limited few with that change. In early 2009, the 57/08’s still had plain covers. We didn’t start etching them until later."

The Core Mira pickups are really nice , but better in other ( darker ) guitars they sounded killer in my DGT and now sound even better in my SCT.
The KL33 was a tad bright for me at the time , I played one with 57/08s and it was killer I think a set of 58/15 would also work really well.
You may love the Miras , I like them better with covers
