Kanami Limited Edition (CU24)

Two became available (briefly) around the first week of this month. One at Chicago Music Exchange and another at Dave's Guitar Shop. I wasn't quick enough to get the Chicago Music Exchange one but managed to snag the other. I believe some dealers chose not to do preorders and only listed them as their orders arrived. Mine has a 25 date stamp on the headstock and a PRS inspection date of January 30, 2025. Anyone who wants one might want to check the PRS dealer sites regularly or call them to see if they have any coming in.

Congratulations, way to make a splash.

Would love to see pics when you can.

If I haven’t said before, welcome to the forum.

I am taking delivery of a Kanami next week... But I'm not sure if I want it. If there's someone here that really wants one but missed the order books, send me a DM. I'm in Canada but would willing to work with anyone in the US as well.

I have mine since 10 days, it's time to show it:

No need to say I love it. Acoustically, it's one of my loudest electric bodies, and probably the best balanced one. Each note resonate like it's been played on a piano. Plugged in, I love the bridge pickup for pretty hard/violent things, and the neck pickup for very sweet playing (it's a little dark to my taste). Coil-tap sounds are fine in intermediate position, but not very inspiring by themselves (don't expect vintage strat sounds - but for modern clean tones, they do the trick and are definitly NOT thin).

Still have to try her with my own usual strings though.

Playability is out of this world, even better than expected.

With my other US : '09 Custom24, '21 Silver Sky and '16 Santana:

Very nice!
I would recommend getting another control plate and saving the autographed one. The signature will eventually wear off.
