:hello:
Found your forum while making my decision to purchase the finest guitar I've ever owned.
Recently purchased a 2011 US made PRS Mira 24.
As soon as I felt the neck I was pretty much sold, but then I plugged her in and the deal was sealed.
The scalloped fit is so nice, the neck is fast and true. I took it in to a luthier for setup because it was initially strung with 10's and I wanted to have 9's on her, so I figured I'd let a pro set the necessary bridge adjustment for correct intonation and set up the action.

I've been playing my SG's and my Tele primarily, but this PRS is now my go to axe. I run through a Hot Rod (single 12) using a Boss GT8 for effects.

I only owned one other 24 fret in the past, an Ibanez Musician MC300. Extremely Heavy guitar. So I need to get used to the feel of a 24 fret all over again, but it's like riding a bike.
Can't say enough about the tone I can get from my PRS, especially if I just play her clean, except for a little verb. Extremely versatile guitar.
I'm 63, and this is without a doubt the smoothest guitar I've ever played.
I play in two cover bands ...... keeps me busy in my retirement....well semi retirement I guess.

Rock On, SHBoom! I had a 1978 MC300. There's HEAVY, and then there's THOSE. Very cool guitar though...sold that to help fund a PRS purchase a year or two ago.

Good news is , not only is the Mira a fantastic guitar, but you'll be at least 2" taller on-stage now!

Congrats, and welcome to the fold!

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Cantankerous..... I traded my MC300 straight across for a '72 Hofner Beatle Bass. Still have her.
As for my Mira, I've now done 3 gigs with her. Makes me want to keep working even harder to see what she can do. She sounds great, and really feels great in my hands. The harmonics are incredible, really clean, crisp and precise.
It might sound corny, but it makes me want to be a better player.

Thanx again guys.
