I apologize if I am on the wrong thread... I just found out that my gig bag has this, and I feel stupid that I don't know what it is for. I know it's for hanging, but... Can I really?

Mine has the chain, with a clip. I always assumed it was so you didn’t lose your car keys.

I bought my SE C24 new in 2018.

I just found this out by reading this thread!

Caveat: At the same time, I bought a Gator hardshell case for it, and store my (now) little used Les Paul in the gig bag.
