Over the 4th I bought some Judas Priest MP3s off of Amazon.
I know KK Downing had been replaced by Ritchie Faulkner on guitar, but I dd not know they had gone through a few drummers as well.
Wiki to the rescue :D

Here are two version, one from '83, and one from 2009.
I think the most dramatic change in appearance would have to be singer Rob Halford.
Glenn Tipton always wears red pants too.

I think they are a pretty tight band.
I also read they are coming out with a new album this summer.

They were the very first band I ever saw live and did not even know who they were. They opened for KISS in 79 and i was hanging on the stage , this was when they had general admittance and no floor seats and had to work your way to standing room only on the floor in front of the stage. When the lights went low and the Harley started and Rob came out riding it I was hooked. Great band.

My 1st concert as well. A little after yours though. Kix and Iron Maiden with Priest headlining on the Point of Entry tour. My love for metal was born. Then I got old.
Now I take my son to see those bands and he loves it too.

My 9 year old son has been getting into Priest lately. He's really into riff-driven rock songs and who riffs better than Priest?

Love Priest...saw them a few times at the Cap Centre...killer riffs...Hellion/Electric Eye , and pretty sure I was at the show where HM Parking Lot was filmed. used to love seeing the Capitol Cetre roof through the trees...got blood pumping ...

Excellent. Does he have a PRS yet?

Yes, yes he does!

Heavy Metal parking lot is awesome. It cracks me up every time I see it!

If you were at MSG, I was at the same show.

My favorite Judas Priest tune is their cover of "Green Manalishi." I have to give props to Peter Green for writing the tune, but the Judas Priest cover, like the Santana cover of "Black Magic Woman," makes the original recording sound anemic.

If you have not seen The new Judas priest Epitaph Live Blu Ray yet, you are missing out. It is a great concert of the highest quality. I watched it the other night and was blown away.
