One of seven, solid one-piece un-plated brass 1980 spec. Mother-of-MILCOM reissue....

Sofaking Bangin'! :girl:

And it's going in here:

That is going to look "BANGIN!" to quote an expert on such things.

The pics are so clear and sharp..., who took them? Or is macro photography your specialty?

PS. Get the styrofoam white booger out from behind the B saddle and there's a hair between the D and the G springs. Damned fine pics. :top:

I bet when you install it and string up guitar,it will start to sustain the last chord played on it!!!!!

Welcome to the club!!!!!

SWEET !!!

AWESOME!! How'd you come across one of those??
A few months ago I urged Sergio to find one of these bridges for his KL33. Jester (James) had one that hadn't been installed so I called him but he had already sold it. I had kinda given up looking.

Flash forward a few months to last week. I got an email notification about a UPS shipper, out of the blue, from Mike Hansen. I called Mike to see what he was sending and, low and behold, it was one of the 2 he purchased from the original run of 7. He gave one to Whitey and I thought he had given the other away too. Turns out he still had it. Mike wasn't looking to sell it but I insisted on giving him some cash for it.

Anyway, I knew that this bridge really needed to go to Sergio for his KL33 so I called him after speaking to Mike. Just as I figured, Sergio was stoked by the possibility. So I turned around and sold the bridge to Sergio. Then I called Mike who changed the shipping address and shipped it directly to Chicago-land.

These are the kinds of things that I love about our community; when you get to know people in person. You sometimes get to help connect guitars (and parts) with the people who will love them the most. I'm quite happy that Sergio got this bridge. It belongs with him - on his KL33.

This is why I love this forum and am proud to call the people here my friends.

Also very happy to see a certain Mr. Hansen involved...

Cool man! I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the changes from the old bridge. I've had one of these unplateds in mind, might be doomed to get one in the future.
