If there's a thread on this, I haven't seen it...or looked hard enough. Anyone notice on last week's Saturday Night Live he didn't use his trademark Fanos at all? He used a....wait for it...GOLDTOP DGT!!! Uber awesome!

Best was Donna on Fallon with Prince the other night ..... amazing !!

I sold her (dad) that CE22 in around '98 and it has been her main guitar for all this time.. to see her with it and Prince at that level is just totally cool !!

Yeah it sucks. Kirk from The Roots is such a good guy too - he's a totaly gear head and music lover. He actually plays in a bar band on the weekends out by me and is always the nicest guy. He loved that guitar

Always liked him as an artist and songwriter...

But that's just wrong. Trashing your own stuff? Your choice - Somebody else's? That's truly disrespectful to another musician.
He just went from "eccentric" to "little punk" in my book.

I saw this too...NOT cool at all! I like and respect Prince for what he's done musically, but he comes off as being a complete d!ck.

Prince is Awesome and can play like 25 instruments. He's the real deal when it comes to being a musician. I would imagine a certain ammount of ego is unavoidable when you're as good as he is. Would I be pissed if he did that to my guitar? Hell Yes!, but I also know that throwing the guitar at the end of a set is "his thing"...so I wouldn't loan him my guitar to begin with lol. Yep, probably the first thing I saw when whatshisface hit the stage.

That Kid (to me) has one of the best guitar gigs on the planet - He's not out front like G.E. Smith, etc., but the kid's got some great chops.

Didn't really hear much of note on the PRS though (very punny) - I think I had hypothermia from the rugby tournament I had just gotten back from. All the blood left my ears to keep in internal organs alive (just kidding)...
