I've done the unthinkable...

and installed zebra pickups on a core 594 Semi-hollow. Extremely controversial for many here. 👀

I didn't want 2 guitars with the same set of pickups as my regular McCarty has the 58/15 LT set.
So installed these that I had left over from a previous project. Absolutely love them. BKP Peacemakers.
And I like the classic look. For some reason I wasn't feeling the covered nickel look on this tobacco burst.
I'm all for making my own guitar. Interesting enough somebody installed a treble bleed on the bridge volume pot. I removed it based on my previous experience with this pickup.
Looks great! Nothing lost with the zebras.

There are some folks, like my brother, that wanted the zebras covered on this SE 245, but yours looks better!

Like Bodia, I am not normally a fan of zebras, but they do look fantastic on that guitar! Good choice!! And BKP, how could you go wrong ;~)) I would mention that I am not comfortable with the creme color on the zebras with the whitey white pup rings, but that is just me! I would change the pup rings to a more creme colored one or black! Enjoy, that is a beautiful axe!!!
Technically ivory rings. They look much closer in person. But I agree it’s not a perfect match to cream of the pickups.

Found cream rings on Amazon that appear to match the cream parts of the pickups based on photos. They will arrive next week. They measure the same so at least that’s the first hurdle!
