I picked this NF3 up locally a few weeks back. I've been wanting something with a maple neck/board and a trem because it's furthest away from my thick hog/maple/rosewood humbucker tones. This guitar rings and sustains beautifully all over the neck. I'm having a lot of fun playing it. I did a set up and a little work on the nut when I got it and it plays great. Can use the trem without issues. It's the first trem I've had in over 20 years(well 2nd, but the other I had blocked). I've spent most of my time playing in the middle 3 pickup selector positions. I've played around with the pickup heights a bit except the middle pickup. The middle sounded perfect right where it was so I decided to adjust everything around that pickup. I've been playing mostly on my clean channel with some reverb and some light OD in front.

Ok, on to a few pics:

Labeled as black, yet it is slightly transparent if you look close you can see the grain of the Korina in person.
Wouldn't have been my first color choice, but I do like it.

Nice! What's your take on the Narrowfield's? I've never played any.
They are very much in the 5708 family in terms of tones, so if you like those, these will likely appeal to you. They're an altered take on 5708's obviously, so they're different but have some similar qualities.
I haven't done back to back comparison with my 5708 guitar yet though so keep that in mind. I will do that at some point.

I will say my biggest surprise is the neck pickup. By memory, it is warmer and creamier sounding than my humbucker neck 5708. Not quite as clear? Almost a little treble roll off by comparison. That could be a height adjustment thing or maybe not. I'll have to wait til I a/b them and will report back after.

All 3 NF's do seem to get a little more clarity when the volume knob is rolled back slightly as has been widely stated. The spankier, more stratty tones do seem to be with with the volume around 7-8 in the middle 3 selector positions. Though I wouldn't say it sounds like a strat because then I wouldn't like it. :D
I'll try to get a little more in depth after I a/b.

NF's are way more rockin' than meets the eye. Lookin' at 'em your brain tells you that they're gonna be more polite and smaller than they wind up sounding.

Congrats great guitar !!!!!
I would love to try those pickups someday but I have that body and neck ( and a couple of extra pick guards )
That neck and scale length (25 1/4) is super sweet

I'm not really a trem guy myself, but I LOVE everything else about this. Congrats!!

Kevin
Me either! I'm anti trem most of the time. But I'm broadening my horizons with this guitar. I ain't gonna go all Jeff Beck or nothin' but I like a little vibrato inflection here & there.

Sweet, did you buy yours modded already? Agree on the neck and scale length. It the first guitar I've had that a standard set of 10's feels really good. On 25" I use 10-52.

You dog! Holding out on us is uncool, but it's easy to forgive after seeing that beauty. ;) I'll bet if you added some reverb and a tremolo pedal it would be an unstoppable panty-dropper.

I know, I know. I've been playing it on the Archon clean with my HOF mini, which good spanky fun. Don't have any trem at home, but I've got the Depths by EQD, which is good fun too.
