So I saved money! Last couple of Xmases I've bought myself a guitar. This year I was planning on buying an EVH Shark. Evidently so is everybody else as my guy told me he couldn't get one before March or April. I could probably get one online buy I want to buy from a friend to help out during what must be very hard times for small music stores.

So I went with Plan B. An SE Hollowbody. Different friend and different store but still helping out the local, little guy brick and mortar. It needs strings, of course, and intonation adjustment but that can be said about most of the guitars I own. I didn't get around to taking pictures so I stole one from his Reverb store.

I had thought about getting both but instead I bought a Gerstner & Sons wooden tool chest to keep my guitar tools in. My current "guitar drawer" looks like that one drawer everybody has in their kitchen that has everything thrown in it willy nilly. The chest and table I bought to put it on are beautiful and will look great in my living room as some functional furniture but man, was it NOT cheap.

Oh, and come March or April I'll pick up the Shark from my other friend.

That, my friend, is a slammin guitar! The jazz tones are just unbelievable, and it’ll do other things beautifully. My luthier is a stone tele guy, but I know he’ll end up with one. They’re just that good.

Those are really nice guitars. It’s great that you bought from the small guy too. They really need it now. Enjoy it!

Let’s see the chest !!!!!

It and the table are basically on back order. I was told that if everything happened on their intended schedule, not likely due to supply chain issues, it would be mid December before they shipped. Well, it's mid December and nothing yet. I'm not worried. It'll happen when it happens, but I probably should check in for an updated delivery estimate.
