I've bough this CE 24 a couple of weeks ago and only now did it occur to me to check the knife edge of the tremolo (it's the older one piece plate+block tremolo).

For a 30 year old guitar it seems in ok condition, but there is some wear on it.

Is this anything I should be concerned about?

I'm not opposed to store the bridge away and get a new one if I risk wearing it down with further usage. I've read a lot about these edges wearing down very very fast if the trem is not properly set or the screws get adjusted while under tension.

I think the previous owner had the bridge screwed down all the way and thus it wasn't resting on the slot of the screws bur rather held down by the head of the screw itself, hence the round marks around the holes.

It is probably fine if the bridge was flat against the body and it wasn’t used. It looks a little worn, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it needs to be replaced. Play it and see how it goes.

The treble side does look a little more worn than the bass side.

I would probably stay on the safe side and get a drop in replacement from Mann.
