The original neck pickup has a green wire (coil tap?), red, black and white but the new PRS pickups have a braid, red, black and white. The original bridge pickup has a black shielded, red, green and black wire. The new pickups didn't come with any wiring diagram so I'm not sure what wire is what. Mainly, which wire would be the coil tap. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Wiring diagram for SE 24-08:

Do both have just RBW+Braid?

I kind of ran into something similar with \m/ pickups in an SE CE-24. The two didn't have exactly the same number/color wires. I ended up bringing it to a luthier who basically tried a few different layouts until he got it all switching/splitting correctly.

Yes. Both pickups have just RBW+Braid. I'm not new at this but this is very confusing. Thanks

Neck/Bass Pickup:
* Black = Ground
* White = Hot
Red = Coil Tap

If TCI (5 conductor)
Neck:
Black - Hot
White / Green - Coil Tap
Red - Ground
Orange - Chassis Ground

Bridge:
White - Hot
Black / Red - Coil Tap
Green - Ground
Orange - Chassis Ground

Neck/Bass Pickup:
* Black = Ground
* White = Hot
Red = Coil Tap
Braid = Ground

Bridge/Treble Pickup:

Red - Ground
Orange - Chassis Ground

Bridge:
White - Hot
Black / Red - Coil Tap

Thank you.....

I've tried multiple configurations on the bridge pickup with no luck. I'm wondering if the 57/08 pickups are even compatible with the 28-08 PRS.....

Pickups are compatible with anything that will pass signal, guitar type does not matter. 24-08 switching just means you wire the tap wires to mini switches and the hot wires to the 3 way toggle.

You only run into “compatibility” issues when trying to install pickups with only 2 conductors and trying to coil split, as there is no coil split wire.

I also wanted to swap pups on my 24-08 SE but couldn’t figure it out so left it, if I find someone competent I might have it done

What year is your SE? That will be helpful as they have changed the wiring over the years for the mini toggles. I learned the hard way when doing Paul’s guitar SE and 24-08s. But I eventually figured it out

Thanks! I've got the bridge pickup in and working.
