I just bought a used ZM off of Reverb. Everything is fine *except* for the tone control on the bridge pickup; it does nothing. Now it’s not like I use that particular knob often, I didn’t notice until 3 days after I had it. I opened the back and everything looks okay so I’m guessing the pot needs to be replaced. I don’t want to send the guitar back, but should I ask for a partial refund? If so, how much?

I'd say you should find out what it would cost you to get a new pot installed from your local luthier/trusted shop, and ask for that amount as a refund. If you do your own soldering work, then I'd say maybe ask for $30-$35?
If you're happy with the guitar and just want a fair price adjustment for having to make a relatively small repair, seems reasonable to me.

I agree with show_a_little. Reasonable buyers and reasonable sellers should be able to work such things out - without paying another round of shipping (two rounds, since you'd just buy another), which is just whizzing money away. (Unless you think in broader terms about contributing to the economy by supporting UPS and providing their driver employment.)

Also, the tone knobs on the ZM - as on most PRSses I've handed - are pretty durn critical, at least for me. So you definitely want to get it fixed!
