Is this pickup ring backwards?

Just noticed this. The ring is tapered, taller on one end than the other. Looks to me like the tall end should be towards the bridge (like it is on my neck pickup).

I believe it is. By looking at your pic it seems that the pup is angled the same way. Would reversing the ring correct the angle of your pickup as we'll? Seems that would interfere with your picking the way it is now.

Backwards....and there's a giant hole in your guitar too, you should get that looked at!
