Is this for real?

oh baby. My brain tells me "no". But my heart wants it to be true so badly. That white fretboard is so metal. The whole thing is pretty metal

Nice find, sadly dont have the cash! Do we know why the Reverend BG didnt take to it? Does he have any other history of playing PRS?

Perhaps a thread about other traditionally non PRS players dipping their toe into the PRS water would be good. Im aware of EVH, Jimmy Page, Gary Moore, Buddy Guy, any others?

What Les said.
There must be a thread somewhere on the forum about it.

fwiw. I would be very careful. Supposedly made for Billy Gibbons, but afaik there has never been any confirmation of that.
This is the fourth time I've seen this guitar for sale since 2010.
IDK, it just doesn't look "good enough" to be a PRS to me.
As I say ... jmo.

One must wonder whether PRS would consider a PS build copy for a third or even one-tenth of that price.

Does seem rather ludicrous, and Reverb seems like exactly the wrong place to expect to sell such an item at that price - aren't there actual real-life auctions at places like Christie's for such high-value stuff?

Page 185 in Billy's book "Rock & Roll Gearhead:" (pic of the guitar from a slightly different angle)

"Built in 1986, an extremely rare one-off, a hand made piece from PRS, another great guitar-building manufactory from the U.S.A. An Explorer-styled instrument finished in pearl white lacquer across the body and neck, one bridge pickup, one knob. Signed and dated by Paul Reed Smith. A smoking player of a guitar no matter where you go."
