Is there an option for a smaller case with a PS?

When you order a PS, is there an option to get a smaller case - like the TKL Prestige you get with the Gibson custom shop guitars?

That option isn't specified on the sheet, but I'll bet you can get the case you want.

The TKL Prestige is a $119 case online, by the way. The PRS cases are far nicer, French fit, and of course are also several times the cost, and they come with a PS standard.

PRS does get some cases from Ameritage, who offer a shaped case on their website, and they're also nicer cases than the TKL. So that may be a better option.

Ha - good point! I just prefer a lighter case. I guess I'll ask what options there are...

These are the nicest looking and most expensive guitar cases I have ever seen, and by expensive, I mean really, really expensive. Carbon fiber covered in leather with silk-velvet lining, etc. http://www.calderoriginals.com/guitar/electric/index.php?cat=3&tag=contact

"Prices start at £4,200."

HOLY POOP! For damn near $6.5K I'll take me 2 Cores or a used PS in whatever cases they come in!!!

OUCH!

But I do understand the thought of having something to safely take a high end guitar out for a workout without either adding a bit of "relic" to a premier paisley case, calling advance attention to the likely contents of the case or both.

I get the "standard" shape PS cases, but I buy an aftermarket case to take to my PRSi to gigs. I use this for SCs:

and this for DCs:

They are very light, but also ridgid and very protective.

The standard Fibenare cases look similar to the Calder, but not price-wise. For a while now I have been using the Mono Vertigo bags, which have superb protection and lightweight. Plus a lot of storage is you add the "Tick" compartments. MUCH more maneuverable than the very heavy hard cases Wolfpak looks interesting.

I actually have a few of the Incase gig bags which came out 12 or 13 years ago which are indestructible and I love them for when I play out - I just wanted to see if there were other options which would take up less closet space (!).

I love those Incase bags! I had one and foolishly let it go when I sold the guitar I got it for. Best gig bag of any kind I've found yet, and of course, no longer being made!

Right? I grabbed an extra on reverb a few months ago - brand new!
