Is it worth moving 2 SEs in favor of another S2??

I love all my PRS BUT MY 4 s2s get all the gigging time and most play time...I feel a difference and they're all lighter weight than my 2 SEs...should I trade them in, in for a nice used S2 that a shop has in stock?? Thoughts...thx!

I had an SE for a couple years that I loved, and was a big advocate for. That said I traded it away this past Christmas for something I play a lot more and that gets a lot more gig time. So all that to say, go for the guitar you are going to love, and play and gig the most. Trade them up !!

Me being the type that ergonomics are a key factor in my guitar purchase decisions, I say YES, do it

In my opinion, no. I don't think the S2s are a very good value. I think SEs are a good value, and Cores are just absolutely stellar instruments. Most S2s I have tried are decent guitars, but if I'm going to be paying what they're charging for them now, I'd rather just save more and get a Core. Now, every guitar is unique and everyone's tastes are different, so if there's an S2 you have tried and you love it more than your two SEs, then go for it.

Mine run the gamut from SE to Wood Library. The trick is to find a guitar that makes sounds your others don’t. While the average S2 has superior woods and fretwork from the average SE, there can be a magic guitar at every price level. Personally, I’d save up and go used core unless the S2 has something different from your other S2’s, or you just love a particular model and want every iteration.
