Is it true? My First US PRS?... NGD!!! She's cleaned up. New pics added on page 2.

Its not quite the caliber of some of the fine pieces of work you guys post here but its my first US PRS and I am stoked! It needs a little TLC. Finish is in great shape, fingerboard is a little dirty and dry, bridge and pickups show some discoloration. I've already got some items on the way to fix those issues so you should be seeing an update post in the next week or so. I've got a Mann Made Bridge on the way as well as some new pickup covers. (Not sure if I am going to put the 59/09's from my SE in this guitar and change these to the SE). Also a 3 way switch, a Push Pull tone pot to get rid of the rotary switch, and some new spec amber Knobs. Did I mention 10 TOP!?!! Sorry, I'm excited. I've wanted a Core PRS for over 15 years now. The best part is I'm in the guitar for under a grand so even with the new parts on the way, I still think I got a killer deal!

Awsome dude ! Killer top / colour, I'm sure it will barely be recognisable after you give it a birthday (Spring clean) and pick-up change.
And under $1K. What a score !

That wouldn't get me a new SE over here.

So what you are saying is that the guitar has some character! A little lemon oil on the fingerboard and it's good to go! (I don't let pickup or bridge discoloration bother me - makes the guitar look played!)

when i scored my cu 22 gold top, i did just what you are considering. i put the dragon II pickups in my se sc and they sound awesome in it. i switched the rotary to a toggle and put zebra vb/hfs in with an intonation prs wraparound i get from Mann. I believe you will like how the 59/09 sound in it, if you of that route.
