Is It Possible To Custom Order An Altered Guitar Without Going Private Stock?

I feel like I've asked this before, but ive been looking online and I wanna circle back to it. I saw something about asking a dealer and it being roughly 2k more but there was nothing definitive.
I wanna try and order a Single Cut McCarty (USA) but with a Tremonti. I've got a les Paul and its a metal beast, with a very fun story behind it but that's not what were here for. I love that guitar, short scale feels perfect in Drop C#, but my one issue is the neck. It works for most things, but when it comes to soloing or anything that requires my thumb on the neck rather than wrapped around it it gets uncomfortable cause its so chunky and my most comfortable with a Wide Thin Tremonti Neck. The Custom 24 neck is nice but the Tremonti neck is perfect. I've always wanted a McCarty Singlecut (Tobacco Sunburst) but the chunky chunky neck just is not for me. I'm curious if it's possible to custom order one with a tremonti neck, or as a compromise a Tremonti with a Two Piece Bridge and 57/08s.
In reference to the compromise, I am aware that I could install a Two Piece Bridge on a tremonti but that would require drilling holes on the body and the wraparound bridge post as far as I understand do not match up with the two piece bridge pieces so it would risk exposed holes and it just freaks me out so if its possible to custom order I would prefer that. The main reason I ask is to be aware of how much it would cost and so I can plan for as long as it takes to afford it, but can't find much online on how far custom orders can go before it drifts into private stock and ends up being much more expensive as you're paying for the premium woods.

If The Neck Can't Be Reshaped It Looks Like You Are Venturing Into Private Stock Territory With The Things You Mentioned. There Are Older Singlecuts Out There With The Wide Thin Neck With The Wrap Bridge If You Can Live Without A Two Piece Bridge. Of Course They Make The Fixed Bridge Tremonti With The Neck You Like Presently So It May Be Easier To Go That Route And Swap Pickups. The Two Piece Bridges Are Less Desirable To Me Than The Original Wrap Bridge.

Yeah, the tremonti route is my current thought process.
The idea is I want to get it in tribute to my dads Les Paul which is the guitar he taught me on, that made me want to learn guitar and basically sent me to where I am now, which is a tobacco les Paul (with a two piece bridge). But as a tribute it fuses with my own preference towards the feel of PRS Guitars. I might look at if neck reshaping is possible, and I'll check out the older models you were talking about, but if not, the tremonti is probably gonna be my best bet. Tremont's are my favourite guitars in the entire line so wouldn't be able to complain really, but would be nice if I could find a way to get the McCarty to work. Little things like the two piece bridge, vintage tuners and the different knob configuration are just that little more authentic. It's really just a petty cosmetic preference and I'm aware of that, but if there is a way to make it work I'd like to find it.
I don't really want to go private stock route because I have a dream of one day being able to afford designing the perfect guitar for myself (I already know exactly what it would be), and that would be my time to go all in on private stock

Sounds like you want a McCarty 594 Singlecut with a Pattern Thin neck, right? PRS makes their naming a bit muddy. There have been so many combinations involving “Singlecut” and “McCarty” that it can be confusing.

In All Truth, It May Be Easier To Just Buy The Other Brand Guitar That Matches The Nostalgia Of What You Are Trying To Do Rather Than Try To Morph Something Here And There Into Attempting To Make It Somewhat Work And Somewhat Match What You Are Wishing And Trying To Honor In Your Endeavor (Which Is Admirable On Your Part And I Get The Sentiment). :) A Square Peg Can Fit Into A Round Hole But There Will Be Gaps. :)

Yeah, sorry, a McCarty 594 Singlecut. I should've been more specific haha

I tend to be sceptic with extras likewise in the past within the Core series.
I do miss certain remarks with Wood Library and Artist Packages in the current catalog (and its predecessors) as optionial items with extra costs.
Back in the days in the catalogs you could easily find, which options were possible within the respective guitar model.
E. g. swapping the pickups on the 513 was never an option.

I assume PRS suspend for the sake of more efficiency those options. Core or Private Stock. Maybe some special dealers (like Brian's) could ask for some special runs according their specs.

And aswell Private Stock doesn't mean building something really unique from the scratch, you stick to PRS models.
There are fore sure exeptions, like the EX für Billy Gibbons or Mark Tremonti's one-of or this purble beast with stings Tremonti was depicted with, too, in the factory.

Hence be prepared to place a Private Stock order.

Yes, it is possible to custom order an altered PRS guitar like a Singlecut McCarty with a Tremonti neck without going into Private Stock, but it will likely cost around $2,000 more than a standard model. You should discuss the specifics with an authorized PRS dealer who can provide more accurate pricing and confirm whether your desired modifications—like combining the McCarty body with a Tremonti neck—are feasible within the core lineup, or if they require a Private Stock build.
Since when?
Something’s off…

I've been wanting a 594 with a Tremonti neck carve (or a Tremonti with a two piece bridge) myself. With all chrome hardware as well. I contacted PRS about shaving down an existing 594 but that don't offer that service anymore.
😟😟😟

In the past you could order specific colors in core, even after artist packages were discontinued but that was almost ten years ago. Over the last 5 years it seems your options are core, wood library dealer runs or private stock. And even private stock isn’t allowing certain things anymore. Ask your dealer about the requests but don’t be surprised if it’s private stock which will be very expensive.

I love my PRS's ( all 13) including my Rosewood neck SC , HOWEVER given your target may I suggest this '59 Gibby custom shop LP in delicious Koa in your price range ..

I have 3 custom gibby's they do nice work ..

I'm pretty open to it being expensive. Like probably up to around 7k?
Have you considered going with a custom build from a luthier? You could get anything you want including a real Les Paul with the neck carve you prefer and a shaved down heel for easier access to the higher frets.
