Is anyone else bothered by the larger fret size of some current PRS models?

My last brand “F” guitar is a YJM signature.
It has the largest frets of any guitar I’ve ever played. I suspect it doesn’t bother me because of the scalloped fretboard. I definitely prefer the frets on my various PRS guitars.

I think they are too big for my taste. I like the Silver Sky frets and Medium Jumbos that Gibson uses. Is it possible to order one with the frets you want?

When you run your hand up and down the neck, the frets stick up and feel more in the way and they hit your fingers.
I tend to run my hand up and down the strings and don't press hard enough when doing so that frets are an issue, so maybe that makes taller frets easier for me.

So much of this is playing style, habits, etc.

Taller frets are great for bends. It's easier to get a good push with your fingertips, and they don't fret out as easily. The small frets on my '65 SG Special "fretless wonder" are terrible. I have no idea how I lived with the damn thing for all the years I played it, I guess I just got used to it. I'd never go back.

On the other hand, we all have our preferences. Some builders will let you order the neck carve and fret size you want. A few of them even make nice guitars. As someone else pointed out, you can have someone grind the frets. Either way, there's no compelling reason to compromise your preferences.

No bother here since the newest PRS in the collection is a '15.

Favorite frets are the 'fretless wonder' ones on the '74 LP and my brother's '66 ES-335.
