I'd kinda like to have a PRS double neck guitar but there is no way I can afford a Private Stock single neck guitar, nevermind a PS double neck guitar like I see pictures of around here all the time.
So I got to wondering if PRS could make a regular double neck guitar. It could be painted white for all I care; I would only be concerned about it having Maryland Made quality and playability.
Or maybe PRS has already made a "regular" or "plain" double neck guitar and I just don't know about it.

I wonder if two donor guitars accurately slice and fused together would work........be a fun project and a heck of a lot cheaper than a PS. Seems the playability and quality would be built in and only question mark would be the woodwork and tying in the electronics from the back.

I think it would boil down to numbers... how many could they realistically sell, bearing in mind what a Core USA model costs even at the low end?

I know I wouldn't buy one. But I don't begrudge others' desire for it. It just seems to be a ridiculously limited market.

I agree with this completely.

Well, you can try! Invite Paul over to your house, get him drunk, then probably talk him into making one for you.

With upgraded nuts and bridges?

This makes sense. The BC Rich and Gibson equivalents of the SE line each make a double neck that have been in production for several years. This should be something they look at. I want a Coreline Double neck, but an SE version would likely be the best fit!

The reason I suggested an affordable PRS guitar as opposed to one of the existing ones offered by other brands is no to try and reinvent the wheel but rather that I think PRS guitars are MUCH more comfortable to play. Heck, the PS doublenecks even LOOK like they are more comfortable to play. If it weren't for the "comfort" factor, I would just go shopping for an existing Korean made doubleneck from Brand X.
