anyone ever use any of those iPad/iPhone guitar interfaces like iRig, JAM, and GuitarJack? If so, what's the sound quality and options like? I find myself often playing in bed and just want a little disto sometime.
Another option is the Vox Amplug. I've got one and it's perfect for playing with headphones anywhere. It's also got a line in connection if you want to play to songs on your Ipad/phone, etc. Not a bad piece of equipment for $40.

I use the Peavey Ampkit. It is not the best in the world, but it does the trick for my needs. It use it with the Jamup, Bias, Ampkit and Garage Band apps and never had any issues.
I ended up going with the Vox Amplug Metal. I wanted minimal connections and something simple and easy to just plug into and go. The Amplug seemed to fit that bill.
So I received my amplug metal earlier in the week and have been jamming with it daily. This thing sounds amazing! And I'm only using the earbuds that came with my iPhone. The distortion sounds thick and beefy with a lot of clarity and the effects aren't great but are fun to play with. Quite an awesome investment. I might even try recording something with it!
